Leukaemia serology screen

Description

Following any leukaemia diagnosis, patients receive a leukaemia serology screen, to determine their immune status to five viruses (HSV, measles, VZV, EBV and CMV). A combination of automated ELFA s and manual EIAs is used. Knowledge of the immune status to each of these viruses indicates the potential for primary infection, re-infection or reactivation when immunosuppressed.
