Description
This selection of assays is used for the screening of new staff, to determine their immune status to various viruses, for their own protection and for that of their colleagues and patients. Staff are screened for Hepatitis B surface antibody, VZV IgG, rubella IgG and measles IgG. Any required vaccines can thus be given and the subsequent immune response retested. Any non-responders to the Hepatitis B vaccine are investigated further by testing for Hepatitis B surface antigen.
